Forum software is old and that is the way the did things when this UBB version was written.

 

Now if anyone wants to send Elton the money to upgrade his software and then assist him with moving the forum contents, .......

I'd love to help with a forum upgrade but seeing other UBB boards go up the spout when upgraded I wouldn't like to be responsible for it :P
