Where to buy a weed rake

A way round the problem may be to print off Andy's post with pic and take that to a local[if you have one near] metal fabricators type workshop and bribe one of the guys there with £notes to knock you up a couple it shouldn't cost a fortune if you speak to the right guy ;);) ,As a example i had a new metal roof hatch made for the boat and it cost pennys in comparision to buying a new one from the original builders .

I have used a folding anchor as Budgie says they ain't great but do work ,biggest problem can be a bunch of instant Carpers threatening to do you in when you start throwing said rake into the lake ;) steve.

We are not putting it back it is a lump now put that curry down and go and get the scales

have I told you abouit the cruise control on my Volvo ,,,,,,,bla bla bla Barder rod has it come yet?? and don`t even start me on Chris Lythe :bleh::icecream:

Like the one I posted a minute before you?... ;)

No Ajays found the one I meant Andy.Your raking /cutting gear is far too ultra cult! Almost looks stainless! Just the gear a carper would buy.....if they used them anymore!

Very nice though.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

Wait until they've been painted with rust primer and then given a nice coat of hammerite. Then they'll be ultra cult.

I have tried to make one with poor results so I am keen to just buy one that I know will work.

The only place I have found one is on eBay but is is an auction so it could go for any amount.

I have seen another with extending rods but its quite expensive.

Do any suppliers out there manufacture and sell them? I cant say I have ever looked at my local tackle shops for them.

If you are looking for a rake that will do the job without throwing something on the end of a rope just search the net for Aspen Lake Rake this rake has a 28 inch wide head & a 30 ft long handle as standard & has been successfully tested up to 100ft.

The rake was first launched at the Tenchfishers AGM where it proved very popular with members, it is now being sold all over the country to Fisheries, Clubs & Anglers
