You can buy maize meal (coarse or fine ground) and, if you have a blender, you can 'blitz' bread which will make what those in the know, call 'liquidised bread'. both are good ground baits.

You can ask the bakers at the local supermarket to keep all the floor sweepings for you. Most are quite obliging and if you're lucky, there might even be some sweet cake crumb through it too.

Ground up digestive biscuits make a good, sweet groundbait for bream. Allow it to soak for a long while or mix it with brown crumb to stop it floating. Also Vitalin or any other dried, meaty dog food makes good groundbait.

well you,ve saved me a post...i just got a blender tonight and been blening bread weetabix and x men cerial with a bit of horlicks....any body got any more ideas?

Never test the depth of water with both feet.

For those of you who have blenders, try blending a tin of Tuna, adding a little bit of water every time the mixture sticks to the sides until you have a beautiful thick, smooth "soup". Use this instead of water when mixing ground/hook baites.
