I know the vast majority of anglers here would not discard tackle at their arses. But if you see it left on the bank please pick it up.

I know it's a pain when we have to pick up thoughtless peoples crap, but news stories like these do us no favours at all.

Very sad, unfortunatley I had a bad experience at the weekend and came across a bird caught up in discarded tackle

Shame but I often see dogs walking off the lead where they have no business walking off the lead. It doesn't say where but most of the Solway is covered by a protection order and it's a SSSI.

Nobody ever says anything about that. I had a ****ing of a woman whose dog decided MY bait-bag was her dog's to do with as it pleased. that was until I pointed out she was walking on farmland and her dog could be shot for walking off the lead. I also told her to line the car with paper because the sardines her pooch had just scoffed were stanky as hell and Fido was more than likely to barf all over her upholstery on the way home. Of course, I was in the wrong.

You can't argue with dog owners, they treat their dogs like their own kids and can do no wrong.

Yes the ones that have no control over there dogs refuse to see anything wrong with letting fido rampage all over your fishing gear with the words He is alright mate just a bit lively or He has never done that before !! ,Dog owners are a bit like football referees in that you only notice the ones that are rubbish.

The areas that attract these dog owners tend to be devoid of any responsible dog owners as they are fed up of there dogs being harassed by dogs off the lead with no control which can make those areas even worse due to every dog there being owned by a Muppet.

Not going to join the local lake that i Pike fish this winter as each year that passes see`s more dogs being walked round it [private lake] that arrive in my swim ages before the owner and try to eat my deadbaits or mount my dog[which i take with me ] drives me insane and i have lost count of the rucks that i have had with other owners there ,shame as its a great lake but sadly one bank runs down the canal towpath which encourages them to walk round the rest of the lake....get me a gun.

There are still dog owners that do give a stuff and control there hounds but sadly in the minority now steve.

We are not putting it back it is a lump now put that curry down and go and get the scales

have I told you abouit the cruise control on my Volvo ,,,,,,,bla bla bla Barder rod has it come yet?? and don`t even start me on Chris Lythe :bleh::icecream:
