Gloucester canal Zander

Hi guy's,

I've just been surfing the net trying to find some good spots along the Gloucester canal for zander and came along this website which states on the front page of the fishing section that zander should never be put back into the canal. First of all, whether it was law or not I would not kill a zander and would always put it back but what worries me is that this inforation is out there for everyone to see and not everyone would question it. Now my question is, before I write to this website and complain, is it law to throw a zed up the bank on the Gloucester canal??
