Fishing the River Idle at Eaton

I've recently moved to Worksop and I'm in the throes of looking at the River Idle and other smaller rivers above Retford. The other day I visited the Idle at Eaton and tried to find out who has the fishing rights there. I spoke to a family at a house nearby and they said to just go ahead and fish. However I need to know before I wet a line if I am trespassing or not. There are no signs indicating private land or any indication of a club who's members may be fishing the water.

 

Has anyone fished this water before and can give me advice?

i've only roach fished at haxey gate bridge ,thats day ticket one side of the bridge and a clubs waters the other ,and dame nice stake's at the pub/resturant next too the bridge .
