today i decided to use a method feeder for the first time as i got it free with a magazine. i set it up on my waggler rod (not got feeder rod) i used 6lb line and a 3lb hookline. i used groundbait around the method feeder and 3 maggets on the hook. i got down to my local canal about half 6am and after 15/20mins i had a bite on my method feeder! after a small fight from the fish i picked up my new PB bream 3lb! i couldnt cast it in the same spot everytime as i used the line clip and cast over head at marker but everytime ended in different place :s?? maybe if kept going same place woulda had better day but also got a 1 n half/2lb tench which suprisly put up more of a fight then my PB (4lb+ tench) caught a few little skimmers and roach after.

all in all i had a very good days fishing. next thing to do is get more tackle and start going lakes to use the method feeder and hopefully beat my PB again :)

i got given a rod and reel for free its called...doctor spin 12ft deadbait/powerspin rod and reel as i trying get into feeder fishing and my girlfriends mum boyfriend getting rid of his stuff and he said that it would be able to handle big loads of bait with the feeder with no problem, just wanted to know if anyone has heard/ have this rod and what its like?

thanks
