sitting high or low

With my fishing platform-carrier having rather long adjustable 'legs', I am asking for advice how high over the water surface is it better to sit when using with a pole, match or bolognes rod and when fishing to hand?

As for positioning my a"" and feet, I can do it by raising or lowering the bench I am sitting on, following Bob Nudd's recommendations from his book on fishing with a pole.

I meen to ask how high shall I sit in general to operate the tackle properly and to see the float better.

Basic rule is everything at right angles, that's back,thighs and calves. I keep the platform as low as possible for stability.
