Species caught in 2015: Ash, Bird Cherry, Black-Headed Gull, Common Hazel, Common Whitebeam, Elder, Field Maple, Gorse, Puma, Sessile Oak, White Willow.

hey guys im new to fishing and i was wanting to know what fish are in the caldon canal back of morrisions leek

and what gear would i need as much info would be great and tips too

hi mark,welcome to anglers net,just joined myself,i've just been on thecaldon canal website and they say the stretch you are enquiring about is fished predominantly match style,e.g. pole or waggler and the species you are likely to encounter are bream,roach and perch with the odd carp here and there,two angling clubs that may be of use are;EMBREYS BAKERIES ANGLING CLUB 01782 311729 SPEAK TO SONIA BEE and POTTERIES ANGLING SOCIETY 01782 207171 SPEAK TO MR DALE; also there is a fishery called RUDYARD LAKE which is near leek andthe contact no is;01538 306280 good luck and tight lines from THE REAL STEADY EDDIE
