Freinds I'm looking for the best dayticket bream and roach fishing in Cheshire - say within twenty five miles of Nantwich - and some guidance as to tactics and feed.

the best roach venue in the area has got to be the river weaver. The roach on the red lion stretch go up to 10 oz and you can get bags of up to 20lb in winter. i don't know about summer but its surpposed to be a bit more wide spread instead of just a few pegs. hemp is the best tactic and tares on a 16/18 hook using stik or pole down the centre of the river. It also through up a few bream on groundbait and feeder tactic now and then but ive never had one.

Tatton Park Knutsford gates open 7-00am.

Best time the mid August till October.

Day ticket water and under rated. When we turnout for a days fishing 30lb of prime roach is a bad day, all on the waggler fished over the ledge. Feeder boys connect with the bream well worth a day out.

Top tip go with a mate the walk can be a long one one parks the car the other humps the gear.
