Which Reel To Buy?

Hi, im looking to buy 3 reels for carp fishing, 2nd hand and want advise in which are the better reels and what good/bad points they have.

 

I have around £250, so i thought these ones would be the best for my price bracket, unless you reccomend others.

 

Daiwa Sportsmatic 5000

 

Shimano 10000 Baitrunner XTEA

 

Fox Stratos FS 10000

Out of those I'd go for the XTEA'S.

Well, I'd go for the Daiwas for the aftercare service and I'm biased because the factory is only a train away.

 

Failing them, I'd have the Shimmy's.

 

I'd rather use cotton reels and horse-hair than use Fox Stratos reels. Overpriced garbage made by a company with no history of making anything mechanical. Let's face it, they can't glue a float together properly, so what chance have you go with something as complicated as a reel? Even if someone said they were good, I'd still have any one of the other two just because the Fox ones look cheap. They look like Okumas painted with black paint and stickers on.
