Probably a stupid question

I have finally decided to move away from my trusty but now decrepid umbrella and have invested in a nice new Nash Profile Special. Basically this is a very large brolly without a centre pole and zip in sides.

My question it comes with some bivvy poles which I have assembled and they clearly fit into some velco channels. My question what do I fasten the top ends to or do I just let them push against the fabric.

Hi Bob,

You need some storm caps fitted, suprised it didn't come with any if they supplied poles. They are available at most tackle shops, to see what they look like goto

and look under accesories. I think I paid about £10 for mine, there are a number of different types on the market but they all do they same thing.
