Now in an era of the depletion of some fish populations and a desire to keep fish stocks at a sustainable level, there is a plethora of regulations regarding saltwater fishing.

end.

I might understand and accept need for some (regs) if low fish stock was based on the activities of the rsa. But that ain't true and no one has ever brought to light depletion by the rsa. So as the two should go hand in hand, the managers who are looking to rule the roost over the rsa can go away, in the nicest posible way of course. B)

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Your Not wrong Wurzel, here is the latest, it appears semi worthwhile, however what he fails to tell everyone is that it's being led by the E U who are demanding with threats of fines to the uk if the information isn't collected. So the likes of defra and cefas etc are dressing it up to make it look like a worthy cause.

There's loads more to this rsa fish count, as cefas recons getting the governing body the trust onboard it makes it open and transparent, what the trust don't do is talk or liaze with the guys who they claim to rep and goven. So the result of any info collected and possibly used against the rsa will be flawed and not worth the paper it's written on. Another point to this is according to cefas, bass is to be now part of the rsa count. Yet as i understood, the bass was a non-quota specis and wasn't part of any count, so why is it now on the agenda. There is a lot of back door politics going on and those at the bottom of the food chain, the profitable and sustainable rsa industry are in the firing line.

And if anyone gets sucked into beleiving the last two lines are actually included by the minister to acheive anything for the rsa, needs to see if heads want examining.

Quote Benyon.

Richard Benyon (Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Natural Environment andFisheries), Environment, Food and Rural Affairs; Newbury, Conservative)

I recognisethe importance of recreational sea angling and the social, economic andconservation benefits associated with the sport. I am also aware there islittle information available on recreational activity such as how many fishingtrips take place or how many people fish from our piers and beaches.

To addressthis lack of information, DEFRA, in conjunction with the Marine ManagementOrganisation (MMO); the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and AquacultureScience; and the newly established Inshore Fisheries Conservation Authorities, has recently committed funds to the ‘Sea Angling 2012’ research project. Thisproject will provide the most comprehensive information ever collected onrecreational sea angling activity, catches and economic value in England. Therecreational bass fishery will, of course, as one of England's key recreationalspecies, be included in this wider work.

Theinformation gathered by this project, including the economic data, will allowbetter informed, evidence-based decisions to be made on issues which are ofimportance to sea anglers—at both local and national level.
