Just thought I would see how many viewings this would get..... wink.gif!!!

Seriously connected to the topic have carp in your area finished spawning - at my local lake I reckon the fish stopped getting up to hanky panky last week - I live in somerset, it would be interesting to see the pattern across the country and to see if the more north you go the carp (and other fish) are still spawning.

Cheers and to all you blokes (Gray) wink.gif who thought this topoic was about how many of us had stirred passion with our mrs/wife/girl friend/bit on the side while on the bank redface.gif Im sorry - saying that my girlfriend gets to see a snake every night so why worry with a maggot!!! biggrin.giftongue.gifwink.gifsmile.gif

Cheers

On my local lake (Maidenhead) they stopped 3 weeks ago. Fantastic sight. Fish crowded into the margins and nearly coming out of the water onto the bank.

Watched from behind a tree. Later one angler tried to put a bait in the midst of 40 or so fish crowded into 10 yards! I dissuaded him.

Only bad news is the Commons keep bonking my wildies so I guess they will all be the same in a few years.

The ice cap is just retreating from the Midlands, so I expect Mr Cypry to get his fin over in about a months time up here. tongue.gif

In most parts of East Anglia the tench have not spawned yet so it will be a while before the carp even consider it.

In fact during the past two weeks water tempratures have dropped 4 deg. F to around 62F, carp needing at least 70.
