Either I'm getting too sensitive for this forum or some people (always the same people!) are becoming very irritating with their anti-carp angler crusade.

100% correct, Gaffer !! - I didn't carp-fish last season, I was concentrating on my new-found love of river-fishing. But before that I had fished for very little other than carp for 20 years or so - I still have all the gear and gizmo's, and shall be carp-fishing again this year (if there is any fishing allowed !!). I use a pod, Delkims, Baitrunners (in fact, I have just bought a pair of 6010's for my barbel and avon rods, so that I don't have to take the 8010 GT's off the carp rods).

I consider use of all those items totally ethical - it isn't the gear which could cause problems, but the way in which it is used. There will always be one idiot in ANY branch of angling, or any other sport or walk of life - but don't tar the rest with the same brush.

It is high time that the `knockers` and `slaggers-off` just urinated elsewhere.
