Hi and welcome to Anglers' Net.

 

A photo of the reel would probably help since there have been at least a dozen reels over the years named "Monarch".

 

I'll move this to the Coarse section for you so more people will see it and hopefully have an answer for you.

Thanks. Nice looking reel but not one I've ever seen. I imagine someone on here will know about it though.

I've not seen one exactly like that before, but it closely resembles a number of cheap, unbadged imports from the Far East that flooded the UK market in the late 1960s/early 1970s.

 

Unlikely to be of any value or interest to collectors, I'm afraid.

Intrepid made a few Monarch models, don't know about a Mk 3......Where is Chesters when you need him? :rolleyes:

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

All I know about this reel is that its made in Korea.
