I was very interested to read Phones comments about attractor Hooks I have some size 8 Octopus hooks in Fluorescent Yellow, I had bought them for drop shotting to add additional attraction to the lure, but I might give them a go when I next use Lobs and see if they offer any benefits. I will naturally fish them against a standard hook as a control.

Are you referring to Steve Burke's general opinion on the subject or the hooks I mentioned specifically? Those hooks are used almost exclusively for (US) perch and walleye (zander) over here. Often, though not exclusively, in combination with variations of a paternoster type rig.

 

Has anyone used these "hook/lure" hooks?
