I'm going to go miles off topic.

 

Phone - you're dead right about non-venomous snakebites being really unpleasant!

 

A friend of mine was bitten when out with me in France. The snake was not venomous but the bugger hung on and we couldn't get it to let go! After a minute or two of this my mate started turning a pale shade of green and only when he almost passed out - and so relaxed his mucles - did the snake finally let go...

 

Took him a good four or five hours to recover enough to move on.

 

Moral of the story is - if you're bitten by a snake, relax! The sooner you do the better it will be.
