The 2 best times to catch fish is before you get there and when you`ve left

Which is why I very rarely get there any other time but sunrise till about 9am and after 5pm until just after dark which are the most productive times. plus I can plonk myself in a swim that has been fed all day long by someone else and take advantage of their feed and start catching fish once the light starts to fade, when most anglers are having their suppers or watching their TV's.

this is why 2-3 days at a pond is better, even if not fishing for big carp its always good to do a few overnighters
