Fising the Canal at Rishton

Has anybody fished the canal near Rishton? I live just down the road and would like to be able to get on the canal somewhere around the area and fish (preferably somewhere an angling club doesnt own) If possible I would like to park up at MFI on Whitebirk industrial and get onto the canal from there...anybody any ideas?

Also does anyone know how well it fishes here? I usually fish the canal between Cherrytree and Finnington but I have recently moved house so I would like to try somewhere closer to home
