an australian company is taxing customers who purchase through his website if they use internet explorer due to the time it takes to program cross compatibility with other browsers.

from a web developer point of view good on the guy. IE7 is a major pain in the rear to design for. for example in the majority of all other browsers to rotate actual text can be done easily with one line and is pretty standard but not with IE, you need to jump through several hoops and use IE specific code for anything that requires a bit of eye candy.

web dev and design is getting very advanced now and new code is supprted in mostly all browser but not Ie the things an antique they need to get with the times.

IE7 is more than a bit out of date and never was much good. IE8 is the latest for XP and IE9 for versions from Vista to now.

even in newer versions a lack of newer and better ways of rendering hasnt been supported by explorer. its like showing someone stuborn a better, faster, easier way of doing something but are so stuck in their ways and think their way is the only way even though it could benefit millions if they done it how the rest of the world does.

i think they are however coming around to newer methods but too late i think.
