I've never done an HPI check before on a vehicle, but I'm bloody glad I did now.

 

There was a car I was interested in and the description included the line: "SMALL AMMOUNT (sic) OF REAR 1/4 PANEL DAMAGE EARLY IN ITS LIFE (DUE TO ANOTHER ROAD USER NOT PAYING ATTENTION WHILST DRIVING ON THE PHONE) BUT WAS REPAIRED TO THE HIGHEST STANDARD BY AN INSURANCE APPROVED BODY SHOP"

 

It turned out to be a Cat C write-off. Also, I'm amazed the current owner knew so much about the accident, as he only bought it on the 24th May, 2012!

 

There are various places you can do these checks instantly online. Fortunately, I'd decided to pay the £5 extra at http://www.autocheck.co.uk for their '5 searches' bundle, so have 60 days to check on other cars if I want to.

 

I'm in no rush to buy a car (I have plenty!), but the one I'd seen looked too good to be true....and it was :o

Top marks Elton, Unfortunately as my post will show (Please see As seen on TV??) not ALL people and Organisations are as honest with the TRUTH?? In fact "The TRUTH is out there? is a phrase I find myself looking at more and more!!

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))
