Buying Number Plates Online

No idea how this is technically legal now, but I have used this guy a couple of times and am well impressed:

Both times, the plates have arrived next day with loads of fittings included.

How much do 'in town' places charge these days for a pair? I honestly have no idea. It would cost me a few quid in petrol to get them, and then lost time, so long may the online sellers trade :)

not so sure on current standards but id check the plates have honeycomb like reflective material instead of the old type. had to get mines replaced a few years ago at mot because they wernt the honeycomb style. old ones are hard to explain but their sorta smooth/grainey if you know what i mean.

BLIMEY!! THAT IS CHEAP!!! Mind you Andy if I used them in France I reckon it would be OK I would just have to buy separately the AREA stickers and fit them myself?? BUT I pay €12.99 each for my plates from Leclerc Supermarket and that is about half of what anyone else charges? And with £11.99 at present costing around €15 in France STILL very cheap as i have to of course take two every time I transfer the registration to my new car/van?? And the NEW registration which stays with the car works out at around €1250 a vehicle as opposed to the old version which was dependant on the CV of the engine and was some formula but generally worked out at anything up to €157 for a 9 CV car etc??

But CHEAP anyway!!

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

Number plate theft has been on the increase in Thames Valley. In 2007, over 40,000 sets were stolen nationally, so you can see that it’s becoming a big problem.

Makes you wonder why they bother ?
