perch fishing

Hi

In going fishing tomorrow at bury hills in working and in hoping to catch my first perch. People have mentioned using worms but I've used them before and the other species get to them first.

In hoping there is someone who has managed to catch perch from this fishery and wouldn't mind sharing.

Thanks

Just to add, ill primarily be using float tackle

I havn't fished the water you are asking about. However I do like to fish for perch, lobworms either ledgered or under a float are a safe bet. If it's allowed I would livebait as a first choice (you may be able to catch some smallish roach, rudd, perch etc by maggot fishing with light tackle before targeting the stripeys). Lures and spinners are good too, and move up to my first choice on water where live baits are forbidden.

I hope you have fun and get some however you fish the place.
