I have to join the others in recommending a trip to your nearest army surplus store, and the advice to go for over-trousers.

 

(BTW goretex stops being breathable when it's caked in mud.)

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

In the end I went for some goretex overtrousers from the surplus store the guys linked to. I also ended up getting a t-shirt, normal trousers and a belt. I got a bit carried away. Great site though and good prices. Think I will be using them again. Thanks again.
