Grauvell rods

Have a couple of their lure rods, and a travel version of a heavier lure rod. I probably wouldn't describe them as the height of technology, but they tend to get used if I'm anywhere 'rough' - crawling about, or off the rocks on the coast ... they do what they are supposed to, and appear to be just about bomb-proof :-)

I believe this is the Avon-type rod, multi-tip, yes? FWIW there is one finishing in a few hours on Ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Grauvell-Specialist-mt-Rod-/350846227312

I've not handled this rod, but to be honest I suspect that you could do a lot worse at that price - in cases like this, I also tend to consider what alternatives might be available at a similar price ... discount the offerings from Dragon Carp, and the anser is 'not much'.

Unless you NEED to know that you've spent a couple of hundred quid on a rod, and are unhappy unless you have done so, I'd likely go for it ... I'd be tempted myself apart from the fact that the Chub Outkast version of the same type of rod arrived here on Monday (together with one of their 12' 3.5TC carp rods) for a rediculous price :-)
