Can anyone tell me the best and cheapest way have mobile internet access on a laptop please. Presumably you need a mobile phone and service provider, some cables and a compatible PC card in the laptop. However how do you actually set it all up and how do you keep the call costs down?

 

The laptop in question will be used to access the internet in a small boat around the British coast.
