AVG Free edition.

Having recently downloaded AVG Free edition, I am still in the learning cycle.

 

I can't find how to stop it running an Anti-Virus scan, on a daily basis.

You can change the time of the scan, but not its frequency.

Any one have any ideas ?

go to control centre,click on view,choose components uncheck scheduler.

Thanks kendo, so the alternative to a daily automatic scan, is a manual scan.

No problem, but I hoped there would be a weekly, auto scan option.

Its still a good programme, especially as its free.

I do a scan once a week usually I let it run whilst I am having my evening meal.

I use AVG on all of my PC's & let it scan once a day.

 

Once a week is rather risky as an enormous amount of damage can be done in that time frame.

 

Depends how often you use your PC though, 2 of mine are on 24 hours a day ...
