Email Problem

Had a few people get bounces to one of my email addresses.

 

I had redirected all mail there to my main email address.

 

I've just found 1915 emails sitting on the 'bouncy' server and am downloading them.

 

However, a quick scan would indicate that they've all been delivered once, as I recognise the ones I've read so far.

 

Any idea why they haven't been deleted off the server?

If you're using Outlook Express, go to Tools>Accounts. Highlight the email address in question. Click the "Properties" button. Select the "Advanced" tab. Under Delivery, make sure that the option "Leave a copy of messages on server" is not ticked.

Cheers for the reply.

 

This mail is being forwarded from one domain to my btinternet account. I collect it from there, fine, but it's leaving a copy on the original server for some reason.

 

Very strange.
