Free Surfer ?

I have had problems with "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and has had to close etc".

When I eventually reported it, I received an advice that I should start my PC in safe mode and look for "malicious add-ons".

The only add-on I can find that I don't recognise, or understand is "{AFC3FA82-AD07-45CD-8B57-983435B9899E} browser extension" .

I did a Google search and it is mentioned in a few geeks websites, where it is referred to as a Free Surfer.

Does anyone know what this is ?

Should I delete it ?

Is it malicious, could it be causing my IE problems ?

As usual, any help will be greatly appreciated, but not in the monetary reward sense. :)

I received the answer to my question from another source.

For the information of others, the advice was to disable this "add-on".

Since I did this, I have had no more problems..........so far.
