As your a little more mobile than most of us, how far does the weed stretch through the Solent?

End to end, top to bottom, side to side and then some. If you anchor up you end up with a washing line instead of a fishing line. If you drift, its not too bad as long as you drift at the same speed/direction as the water.

The rake idea sounds good Marvin.

Weed can be a real chit sometimes when fishing.

Wonder if hitting bottom and winding up 12 turns would help?

It's free-floating weed, little bits that float in the water, hit your line, wrap round it then slide down. I about two minutes there's a big enough lump of weed by your lead to swing it off the bottom :mad: :mad: No known cure!
