It's depend what mfishing method you tend to do as for doing short range or long range? Snag fishing, Margin fishing, PVA works, Method Feeder

you could do a lot worse then getting a Fox warrior rod. for your needs a 2.5 test would be sufficient, they come in at under £60 but if you check out the offers you could probably get a pair for your £100. An excellent value for money rod with a good action and plenty of grunt when needed. I,ve caught cats to 45lb and carp to 40lb and at the other end tench 7lb and bream to 10lb and the action remains responsive. :P

Do you think the 2.5tc would be better than the 2.75?

Yes! I am using 2lb Test Curve (living dangerously) for very close work with PVA Bags, so 2.5lb T.C. would be better but not A 2.75lb T.C. as that would be classified as more of long range works

Jonathan, At the moment I am using the Leeda Duo Tip Carp Rods ie 2lb TC and 2.5lb TC tips. Most of my carp fishing is either short range/margin and as I am using a three rod set up with two of the rod are using pva bags with bloodworm pellets and sometimes either a single boilie hook bait or a double boilie hookbait.

I can't see why not a Fox Warrior XT Rod at £54.99 would do the job.

As for the PVA bags at the moment the best one I have seen and also the most easy to do is the E.S.P. Bulk bags. There are 15 bags in a pack and each bag is measure at 85mm x 175mm. Normally what I do is thread one of the 1.5oz Inline Anchor Bait Delivery - http://www.tackleshop.co.uk/ProductDetails...&productID=1348 which make it easy to put a PVA bag on.
