Hiya,

 

This seems to come up quite regularly :)

 

as it stands Officially there has *never* been a confirmed sighting of a GW in UK waters. The nearest confirmed GW to our shores was caught in the Larone (Sp?) Estuary in France.

 

Every so called UK sighting has been dismissed as the evidence given always tends to point to other shark species, namely basking & Porbeagle.
