Fishing Licence - France

Hi Guy's

We are off on holiday to France in the new year, and as luck would have it... there's a lake on site He He he. Question is: Do I need a fishing Licence for France and I guess a day permit ?

I would suggest asking the people that own the site to make sure but normaly if its a private lake then no licence is needed but if you want to fish a public lake or river a licence is needed

Do you know if a licence can be bought from a FR post office or similar ?

Regional licences are normally brought at tackle shops whilst local day tickets are also often available from bars and tabacs.Best bet as all ready said is to contact the owners of the site you are staying on.

You could try the National angling body UNPF as well http://www.unpf.fr/

I think they could answer you in English.

 

 

I think they would be a lot more inclined to help if you had the courtesy to try and ask in French! What is up with Brits?
