Some very good and valid points highlighted there.

 

Speaking as a purely coarse angler I know we tend to "get the layers on" in an effort to combat the cold. As a rule we generally don't enter into or onto the water.

The beware of undercut banks is very valid in our case. Several times I have opted for a likely looking river swim only to find the banking to be a "bit dodgy"

Ah yes, winter fishing safety............place "record breaking fish" DVD in the player and take care not to burn yourself whilst pouring your tea :)
