Hi

 

A good mate stood on my Penn 535 bending the main arm so that the star drag is near impossible to use, he's 16 stone so it's bent quite a bit! Anyone recommend someone with a guaranteed and prompt service - have to post from west of Ireland and get return.

Go to the reelvalue website and on there is the contact details for the penn chap in Worcs. I have not sent to him but have ordered bits and found him to be prompt and helpful. Others have said the same.

Can you not try straighting it yourself by taking the handle off ?

 

Use a vice or hammer it flat - at least it gets you fishing

pretty easy to do yourself with access to a samll lathe and gentle taps with a hammer
