what do you think is the best way to do this.

fish to minimum sizes with only size fish counting.

no size limits with any fish counting.

or no cmr with size fish being retained and weighed in.

please before you start slating this bear in mind at some of these very popular venues small fish will be caught a lot anyways, and most anglers arent scaling down for a tiddler bash.

Maximo, just have a comp for the biggest round and flat, and measure and return your own as you go that way you only take two max! back to the weigh in, none of this keep up and down the beach witnessing tiny fish like measure/release all fish does, oh and obviously the fish at the weigh in must be atleast in size...........

What our club does is fish to club sizes(usually 1 cm up on nfsa) all are rounded down, and signed by the angler next to you, we also do biggest fish and mid length. Was talking to a guy from a medway club last night and he said they are bringing in meaure/approximate weight comps, where each specie is measured, then the weight is worked out at the end according to a specie/size/weight chart. Sounds a good idea, it should make it fairer for example a 55cm eel and a 55cm bass. Think it may be the way to go for catch and release comps in the future.
