  1. im sure shakespeare do a battery powered air pump which would be perfect for the job attached to a decent size coolbox
  2. being a bit laid back by nature means when the fishings slow i would leave bait on the hook and add more but then this would affect my bait presentation resulting in a often missed bite and when reeled in a big blob of worm masking the hook or hanging off.a disaster during a match when the fishing is slow,so i would say strip it off and start again which i now do.
  3. hope everything turns out ok for you both cjs2.

    Simple Rigs

you cant beat the blood loop trace with a loop at either end for rough ground cod fishing,i hate making rigs and these are easy to make and fish as well and often better than a pulley rig which as a trace i dont like although they are extremely popular.you can put a clip on for a bit more distance and even if you lose twenty youve just lost line, weights and hooks.
  5. the chance of a good fish cod or bass would do it for me at the moment they just arent there,i can get good bags of smaller fish but the biggies arent there any more. i would fork out good money, put it this way i pay £700+ for a weeks fishing in ireland,i think we all just accept its gone down the pan.
  6. did anybody invite this lot http://nesa.co.uk/modules.php?op=modload&n...thread&tid=9693
  7. has tha packed thi job in att wheeltappers and shunters club then spragg lad.cos i herd thi was ont comiteeee.
  8. i like casting reel down and it does look better but its just too much hassle for the venues that i fish on. im not one for chopping and changing my rods either,i always have three or four at a time but for different ground.nemesis for mixed and clean.source for clean and small fish matches and a tz500 for rough ground.
  9. how much difference do you think reel down the butt makes.
  10. tsf is better but only just ,i just got sea angler today looked through it and cant find any thing i want to read.if youve got half an idea how to fish theres nothing in there for you, little bitty articles that have no substance, nothing innovative, nothing to make you think.
  11. ill get some practise in before long, its too bloody cold at the moment. i was also using two clapped out 7hts for clean ground but ive got two supermags and theyve put my distance back up.
  12. put it this way dammo if i was casting 235 regularly id be a very happy man.did you get lessons to get that far or just a lot of practise. ive been meaning to go to a casting day but it always seems to clash with work or a match.one of these days.
  13. now theres no need to start feeling sorry for yourself, them frigging dumpys,i had 3 in one match i was nearly crying.
  14. its that secret bait theyve got. the yorkshire lads have been doing well over there this winter them geordies wont like that. paul westmoreland must be the top ne angler this year, surely, and theres some good uns to beat over there.

    dinosaurs

its a good league in the main and a lot of hard work put in by most of them i just fail to see why certain ones go about making it their business to change what had been picked as a cmr match to a weight match,my mind boggles at why they would choose to do that.

you know as much as i love fishing matches there is times when i really wonder why.we have a league here fished onece a month between clubs, may was a cmr match where big bags of flounders were on the cards. but due to some of the dinosaurs that run this league,no they might have to walk 50 yards to get someone to measure them.and heaven forbid it might cost them a fish or two. due to past dealings with these pricks which nearly finished my club there is no point trying to get it changed now as it will be a stitch up. my first feeling is to boycott this match but that would be letting them win.

    maddies

thing is whenever i try them they only seem to attract the smaller fish, maybe tipping with them like you say would be better.

only thing is with a small hook you soon get to the eye with a decent hookful
  23. pity it wasnt a bazooka instead of a rod richard, the satisfaction.
  24. was that the system they used at the dingle pairs garfish as you say not perfect but they were going to tweak it a little bit and it wouldnt be far off.

    maddies

i try to avoid using them and thank god i dont have to much as digging them is the worst job in bait collection, but whats the best way to bait up with them, bait needles?is it better to use spade end hooks and how many on average per bait is best. sorry to ask so many questions but i havent got much experience with them.
