Slime Line has become a generic term for any clear intermediate line, although a I believe it was the product name of a specific clear intermediate (Possibly Airflo?).

 

 

Can anyone tell me the difference between Cortland 333, 444 and 555 lines?

 

Comon sense tells me that a 555 is obviously better than the 333, but is this true?

 

I need to Buy a floating line (444 Ghost tip has been recommended).

In the hands of an average caster the difference between the 333, 444 and 555 lines from Cortland is about £20

 

I have lines in both 333pro and 444sl ranges and to be honest there's not a lot of difference to me. Someone who was an expert caster may say differently. I've not heard many positive commments about the 555 range, although I've not tried them myself, but the general consensus seems to be the 444 aint broke so why try to fix it.

I have a 333 pro SL (you now know what means) full sinking line (Brand new in the box) that you can have free of charge.......

 

Get a 444 SL (Ghost tip) and you have everything you need for swffing off the beach or off a yak in the UK.
