Trout Fishing in East Sussex

Recommended Posts

Having recently moved to Bexhill-On-Sea, and previously a member of the Darent Valley Trout Fishers, I am keen to find Trout flyfishing on any local stream or river.

I have heard that the River Rother supports wild browns and indeed even Seatrout are not unknown in this water.

Can anyone help with contacts/Clubs/Societies etc to fish Rother (river not stillwater fisheries)?

Thank you,

Best regards

Flashfly,

I live in Crowborough and have my name down on the waiting list for your old club. Rother and its tributaries do hold wild browns. Have a look at this link it was pointed out to me by Vagabond who mainly posts in the Coarse Fishing section.http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/authors/roger10.htm I have just joined the Teise Owners and Anglers for season 2006. I cannot recommend as I have not fished the river yet but it is a small stream and looks promising. Follow this link http://www.teiseangling.co.uk/index.htm

Hope this helps
