this morning with snatcher and the tacks

Ken Davison do you want a few lures to try out? have sent that many bits and bobs off lately cannot recall if I sent any your way!!!

 

Basically they are sandeel/launce imatations. Target fish cod/pollack/coalies/bass. Normally do them in 2/0 and 3/0 hook sizes.

 

Fish them either on a flowing trace from a boat or from the shore use a 3/4 foot trace behind a drilled bullet.

 

For shallower marks and with bass in mind try using a say 20g controller float with them. I reckon I can lob them 60/70 yds with light spinning gear.

 

Basically they are too heavy/bulky to use with fly fishing gear but intend to tie a smaller lighter one with this in mind.

 

Giz your addy by PM Ken and will post a few off for you to try. I like to see how effective(or not) they are in different parts of the country.

Just brought it back to the top of the pile again to see the kids faces. It cheers me up no end team. It was a fab day but the bonus was seeing the kids catch fish and put them caringly back - the way to go team

 

Their casting ability and knot tying was a WOW such a change in a few months.
