Bow Lines

Recommended Posts

After hooking up to pot marker buoys and rafting along side Zzippys yak I'm sold on the idea of using a bow line for this purpose . They look easy to make but has anyone tried the Ocean Kayak one? - if so are they any good ?

I Use my anchor trolley carabiner (its big enough) and because Ive rigged it so that it goes all the way from stern to bow find I dont need a bow line etc.

Worked a treat when bass fishing off Christchurch Ledges with Richi. Take alook at the phots and see if that will fill the need.

Fished since 2003, the rest of my life I just wasted.

Speciman,

Artfulfisherman, uses one to attach to the missus... oh er.... when they are anchored, allowing them to carry just the one anchor, works very well.

I do occasionally carry one onboard, but since setting up the trolley haven't found the need for it as the carabiner can be detached and used seperately either for towing, or tethering, still have one onboard for emergencies if I'm going any distance off shore, it may come in useful due to it's strength.
