Multiplier woes...

Bought a 2nd hand shimano multiplier for jerkbait fishing but broke it - line guide got braid wrapped around it whilst casting a Salmo Hot Perch and part of it left the reel at high speed, never to be seen again... My fault for incorrect settings I spose but was wondering should I bother repairing it (it only cost me £30) or should I just go out and buy a brand new Abu?! Help please...

by the sound of it the bits to repair will come out at £25/30 depending on how much damage you've done, thats for bits only and no labour costs involved. As its a second hand reel already that will make it a dearer reel than a new one.

You might be better sending the reel to the reel doctor(do a search on here) who can do a repair much cheaper than you can probably get the bits for, worth checking out first before standing on that pedal bin lever
