Hello all...just popped in to say hello...ya got a great site here... I fish the beaches on South Texas (PINS) and jettys. I stumbled into long casting last year and wife thinks I've gone over the hill! I have no idea what she means...

The more I look at Ike the worst it looks for you folks.

 

I think Friday AM is about the latest safe time to head for high ground if you are in any sort of a flood zone since they may have a firm storm track by then.

 

The 17 ft sea wall protecting Galveston may not be enough if the thing gets up to Cat4 or Cat5 which is looking like a very real possibility.

Thanks...the storm is turning a bit north now sparing Corpus Christie but Port Lavaca and beaches more north are going to take a hit. The best place to be inland...somewhere near Ross-on-Wye, UK would be nice!
