Castle Archdale Lower Lough Erne

Hi Everyone

 

I've just been on holiday to castle archdale in northern ireland for a week and spent a few hours fishing with no luck at all. I tried meat worm and corn on float and ledger without a bite. Has anyone got any info on fishing this lough or some tactics that might work on a very large piece of water.

 

there is supposed to be roach bream perch rudd and pike. but not much sign of anything.

 

Any help would be gratful as i' planning a return trip soon and would like to get something.

You really need to prebait on Lough Earne if you want the tonn up catches that were reported in the late eighties. You could also phone up the tackle shop in Eniskillen, can't remeber the name but if you google tackle shops eniskilen upi should pick it up.
