Hi All

Well in a couple of weeks i will be 30 :headhurt:

I have done half of what i have set out to do and completed more than i expected to.

My wife bless here cotton socks :yeah: has booked me a fishing trip for the weekend of 15-17 of sept at trinitywaters, Bridgwater, Somserset. (England, just in case)

What i wanted to know was has any one fished it or heard any reports on how well its fishing, i have heard that it is fishing well and wanted to know if any one here had fished it. I will be fishing the Speicmen pit, pegs 11 + 12 (a mate is coming to). If any one has any advice or tips please could they let me know. I have been trying to get there for a visit but with moving house :wallbash: , becoming a new father :1a: and starting a new job :yeah: I have not had the time to visit the lake.

Any help will be very useful.

It was the fish i tell you, they were talking to me !!!

Mostly doubles to 26lb i was told so is hardly a specimin lake and £20 for 24hrs to fish a puddle seems a bit much, although it is a prity looking "pond" with what looked like lots of features ie lilies and overhung margins i never fancied fishing it to be honest, but good luck and have a good birthday bash :yeah:

Cheers Bivyman

Have had a chat with the owners and me and my mate are fishing the 15-17th for £30 quid each.

Do you know by chance what the pond is like i is it a silt bottom lake or gravel or is it patchly like most ponds?

Cheers again bivyman.

cheers bivyman

thanks for that, gives me an idea as how i will fish it.

Was thinking about using an inline lead as they do not sink in to the silt after casting, and was gunna use a method feeder and fish close in as there are alot of marginal features.

Does that sound about right to you ??

My mate just done a quick 24hr stint 1 run 1 fish .... pulled in a lovely looking 16lb mirror. I live in Bridgwater and given the chance i would prefer to goto walrow ponds in highbridge, just 10 mins up the A38 where you would buy a £20 season ticket and just fish it for £5 a night there after the lake isnt much but theres a few 30`s in there. Like matey said it looks nice but i would`nt call it a specimen pond.

How he caught that 16 if the info is anygood was a caviar and cranberry boillie dipped with about 20-30 freebies scattered around it, but i know another lad has fished it and done well with method and sweetcorn.

Hope the info is good for you and good look whatever you choose.

Regards
