Just a thought....

 

Could we have a topic for the Heaviest Kayak caught specimen for each species. ie a Conger, a Tope, a Cod , a Pollock , etc.

 

Each time you catch a decent fish post it under the relevant species topic and claim the new AN record. A master list could be kept updated under a separate topic heading.

 

All fish could be returned and honesty would be relied upon to keep it above board. A photo and quick measurement would suffice.

 

I am sure it would provide a good bit of banter and it might be interesting just how many species we could register in a year.
