thule stacker or eckla upright

Just a quick one this!

 

I am looking to buy some upright bars for the roof rack in order to hold two sit on tops securely on one roof. I am looking at the Thule "Stacker" (http://www.car-roofracks.co.uk/canoe-kayak-racks.htm) or the Eckla uprights (http://www.kayaksandpaddles.co.uk/canoe/kayak/uk/shop/productpages/equipmnt/roofracks.htm).

 

As there is a large price difference can anyone recommend one over the other through experience.

I have the thule version on the wife's car, seems to work well, nice that it folds down flat when not in use, and stops the rack whistling which she was always moaning about, also comes with a set of quality straps which are an extra with the uprights I believe, reason I bought it, was it was all I could get with an afternoon's notice.

 

Would I buy it again, yes.

My brother-in-law put longer roof bars on his roof rack and now and carry two kayaks side by side this is on a Ford Mondeo as long as it does not stick out any wider than the body work you should be all right
