Circle Hooks

Small chunks of squid on a circle hook can be deadly when the codling are finiky.

 

Or you can fish squid whole on a circle hook, but you have to LIP hook it!

sounds like a pain and does take 60 seconds ,, but cut line above hook use bait needle to put worm on line then tie circle hook back on and drag worm back down ,,,,,,,,,easy peasy,,,,,dont know about the ray thing though,,,,,
