Yes, I'm looking at a trip around Christmas to promote the "out of season fishing", although there doesn't seem to be a no fishing season on Alderney. I'm hoping to do some inshore shark fishing and some shore fishing with Mark if the conditions allow. Not sure if it's pre-Xmas or post-Xmas yet, depends on Marks timetable as he's fitting out the new premises. I could be his first B+B customer.

If you are planning on staying with Mark I think it won't be this side of Christmas. He's got a big job on with that place. It should be a big improvement on his old shop though. I pulled his leg the other day that as he is going to start doing B&B above the tackle shop, we would start selling tackle at Bonjour guesthouse. I think you might still have our number, give us a call or PM me when you are coming over. Maybe we can find some of those mullet for you.

The shop will be ready well before Christmas, end of this month I still reckon. Ok, I might be the only one who thinks it but it will be ready

With regards to Normans bed, it'll take 5 minutes top put a camp bed up . If not he'll be at your place

True, we did find some mullet. But failed to hook any!

 

Ah! I wasn't going to mention that but it will all be so much better in February Won't it?

Thanks Bill, did you like the Alderney write up, it was a great 3 days, it's nice when a plan comes to fruition. So post Christmas is better for the mullet I take it, what about the sharks? Two different sets of tackle required I expect.

Yes, nice write up Norm, and thanks for your kind words concerning the guest house. As for the tackle, I suppose it would be a nice challenge to go sharking with a 2 1/2lb test curve rod and 8lb line . you might want to scale the end tackle up a little though.
